By delivering attentive care, caregivers contribute significantly to the overall health and happiness of those they serve. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to pass background check and drug screen Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with individuals with specific needs, such as dementia or physical disabilities. Responsibilities: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Administer medications and monitor clients' health conditions, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation and activities to promote mental well-being. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light housekeeping and laundry tasks. Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams regarding client progress. Skills: The required skills for this role include the ability to evaluate various situations and adjust accordingly as well as strong communication skills, essential for building rapport with clients and their families. Time management skills are crucial as caregivers must efficiently balance multiple tasks while ensuring that each client's needs are met. Empathy and patience are vital in providing emotional support and understanding the challenges faced by clients. Experience with dementia and bedridden patient a plus.
