This position will ensure that all reasonable customer
requirements are met with regards to specific and specialized
engineering needs and commercial aspects such as pricing, order
entry and customer service. Requires a high level of communication
skill to present an efficient and courteous presence for the
customer. Additional production and product development projects
will add a level of integration into the complete sales/production
process. The incumbent will gain sales and marketing knowledge
along with specific heat transfer engineering to qualify him/her
for potential service as a Field Sales Rep. This position reports
to the Inside Sales Manager - Commercial Coil Products.
Serves Commercial Coil Products heat transfer customers through
both our Field Sales Reps and through contact with a base of direct
house account customers.
Provides both technical and commercial assistance to support Sales
and Marketing while building relationships with our customers and
providing manageable project assistance for product development and
production engineering requests.
Assists in the selection of heat transfer products specific to
applications and/or materials of construction.
Serves as the commercial contact providing quotes, unit pricing,
order entry and other customer service functions.
Must have a working knowledge of heat transfer principles to assist
in application selections and design.
He/she will be trained in and expected to use our in-house CoilCalc
NG software developed for this purpose.
May be called on to provide training to internal and external
customers on the use of CoilCalc NG software platform.
Will be required to participate in the review process when large or
special applications are involved including both heat transfer and
Will be responsible for supplying sufficient information for the
preparation of drawings for both submittal and production.
Other duties might include assisting with the resolution of quality
issues and providing sufficient information for our production
managers to ensure that proposed project designs are consistent
with our production methods.
Limited travel to customer sites and to industry trade shows may be
required, no more than 10%.
He/she should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
to include Excel, Word and Powerpoint and with MathCad.
He/She must be capable of learning SAP.
Knowledge of common drafting platforms is a plus.
Knowledge of ASME Code requirements and calculations also a
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: - - Educational requirements for this
position are a BS/BA in Engineering, -Mechanical Engineering
preferred, Chemical Engineering considered. - TRAVEL: - Minimal
travel involved, but may be required.
