Job Description:
The devices we make at SEL are embedded in the power grid. They

pieces of the grid to go faster. As an Application Engineer II -
Automation in Sales and Customer Service, you'll provide solutions
and services that help our customers protect and control critical
electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide. As an
Application Engineer II - Automation a typical day might include
the following: + Develop expertise of power systems and all related
SEL products.+ Help customers apply SEL products through visits,
demonstrations, training courses and telephone contact.+ Provide
solutions to a wide variety of increasingly difficult problems.
Solutions are increasingly imaginative, thorough, and practical.
Independently supports customers for at least two knowledge areas
of their specialization field.+ Contribute to product
specifications, application and testing software, and literature.+
Participate and presents at SEL marketing and sales activities,
industry technical meetings, and conferences.+ Teach SEL University
courses within core area.+ Publishes multiple application guides,
notes, template guides, software tools, and/or technical conference
papers.+ Provide assistance on products and applications to
engineers, associates, and interns.+ Regular contributions through
customer feedback process, FAQ entries, IMI teams, and improving
SELU training material. Identifies WCM initiatives and leads
efforts to improve. This job might be for you if: + You have a
bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent
engineering degree).+ You have around 6+ years of experience in
power systems and industry practices.+ You have the ability to
write and speak English coherently.+ You have excellent technical
training, speaking, writing, and customer service skills.+ You are
a strong communicator. Actively identifies and pursues ways to
improve customer experience.+ You have the ability to gain the

We anticipate filling this position as an Application Engineer II -
Automation $80,000-$120,000 per year. We are open to reviewing
additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary
range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges
are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our
starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors
such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
