TUPLEO, MS (OPEN TO ALL US CANDIDATES)- Incredible family seeks a FULL-TIME CAREGIVER for their 14-year-old son with autism. Hours are somewhat flexible for the right candidate, as they are more focused on finding the right candidate over the perfect schedule (40+ hours per week). He attends school in the morning during the academic year and goes to the Autism center for ABA therapy most afternoons. Nanny would be responsible for taking their son to and from school and therapy. Must have a clean driving g record and license. Mileage reimbursement and/or family car is provided. The ideal candidate has experience working with children/young adults with special needs. Someone with a background/experience in ABA, psychology, therapy experience is a huge plus! Someone who can apply this experience and work with their son through a therapeutic approach. He can be impulsive and has Pica, so must be vigilant in providing constant supervision and watching for signs of choking. While supervision and care is the primary concern, they would love someone who can help prepare simple meals and snacks for him and very light household assistance as needed to support the parents, but primarily responsibility is for their son. They have an older son who is a senior in high school and does not require care but will be in the home from time to time. Position can be LIVE IN or LIVE OUT. Relocation assistance is provided within reason. Live in accommodations includes a private bedroom with an en suite bathroom. Parents work from home and have three dogs in the home (must love dogs!). The family would love for their nanny to occasionally travel with them on short term domestic trips to the beach, Memphis, etc. Pay is $25/hour (somewhat flexible depending on experience). Benefits include paid sick days, holidays and vacation. Start date is ASAP!
