Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Engineer

Meridian, Meridian

As the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Engineer for Rolls-Royce, you’ll work to find solutions to technical problems while guiding the implementation and improvement of new and existing processes in the overhaul and repair of engines and their components.  You’ll work on our customer site in Meridian, MS to support their needs and ensure consistency with the achievement of our financial goals.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Generating process control procedures and engineering authorizations for shop floor instruction
  • Performing Material Review Board (MRB) review and dispositioning components
  • Performing required FAIR/LAIR, Source and Method change activity for shop processes and component repair related changes
  • Preparing engine or component condition reports, failure analysis and coordinating the work scopes with the OEM and customer engineering team
  • Recommending operational and maintenance recommendations for component and engine test systems
  • Effective Communication with the customer, OEM and Rolls-Royce management at meetings, through presentation, phone conferences or via e-mail

Basic Requirements:

  • An Associate’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of engineering experience in gas turbines OR;
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of engineering experience in gas turbines OR;
  • A Master’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering OR;
  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of engineering experience in gas turbines

Preferred Requirements:

  • Green or Black Belt certified
  • Experience controlling and developing repair processes
  • Experience with SAP and/or NALCOMIS
  • Experience in gas turbine troubleshooting and/or performance analysis
  • Experience with ADOUR F405 engine
