Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months. • Travel experience is preferred from any number of months. • Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Mississippi license or compact license (required after submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Local & travel allowed. Additional Details: Candidates who have 2 years of experience, 3 days or less RTO and who can start on date posted in the position can be auto-offered. Expanded IV Therapy certification thru MS is required. Shift: 6:45p-7:08a No block scheduled offered/Must be flexible with schedule Weekend and holiday requirements All travelers are required to float to units within their competencies. 5 West - 48 bed unit. Nurse: Patient ratio - 1:7, 1:10 if LPN is present. Patient care modality: General med surg, weakness, COPD, respiratory failure. Age range 21 IV insertions, Foley insertions. Vent types: Baxter IV Pump, Telemetry, Kangaroo Feeding Pumps, Omnicell med cabinet Requirements: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required. Strongly prefer 400bed or level 2 trauma experience Must not have worked perm/per diem at NMMC in the last 12 months. Covid vaccine and flu shot are NOT required. If hcp declines, a mask must be worn at all times, with the exception of mealtimes. Scrub color provided in UD.
