Job Description:

Leadership:* Identifies, develops, implements and manages the Secure Environment Program* Administratively responsible for all Corporate physical security programs* Develops security measures/strategies and assures the overall security of all members of the organization* Develops and implements security policies and procedures* Serves as a reliable source of information and guidance to facilitate confidence in the Secure Environment Plan* Serves as the Chief Investigator for hospital and corporate related incidentsManages:* Directs, coordinates and oversees the daily activities of the Assistant Director, Security Secretary, Shuttle Driver* Trains, evaluates and coaches employees within scope of responsibility* Provides corrective action when necessary* Assists with hiring necessary staff * Conducts Leader RoundingSafety/Security Management:* Conducts security assessment of NMHS/NMMC properties to facilitate compliance, improvements and revisions to the Secure Environment Plan* Responsible to administrate routine maintenance and upkeep of the Security Management Systems (SMS) to include CCTV, access control and protection equipment* Provide security consultation to NMHS Community Administrator/Managers* Ensures the safety of all staff, patients, family members, and visitors* Assists in assuring that NMHS assets are protectedRecordkeeping/Reporting:* Maintains essential records and reports as necessary/requiredEducation:* Coordinates the security training and education; clinical/non-clinical staff* Supports and participates in management training and activitiesBudget:* Prepares and submits the departmental budgetRegulation:* Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines* Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statuesRequirements:* Master's Degree in Homeland Security, Criminal Science, or Business; required* Minimum of 5 years' Security Management experience in a large corporate environment; required* Licensed driver in the State of Mississippi with a clear driving record in accordance with Hospital Eligible Standards; required* Training in Behavioral Management or Nonviolent Crisis Intervention; required* Certified as a Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) or Protection Professional (CPP); required* Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CEPTED) certification; required* Demonstrated experience in managing a multi-million dollar budget; required* Excellent organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills; required* Excellent interpersonal skillsAt North Mississippi Health Services, our mission is to "continuously improve the health of the people of our region."
