We are looking for a Support Specialist to help us provide superior technical support for associates at our $400 million Plant in Columbus, Mississippi The ideal candidate has a four-year bachelor's degree in Software Engineering and is detail oriented, ambitious, individually driven to succeed, has great communication and organizational skills, and can provide exceptional application support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Job Functions / Responsibilities + Provide system architecture knowledge and system support for the Apriso MES suite + Provide expertise and increase usage of OutSystems, Confluent, and Kafka for mobile application development + Design, develop, and enhance applications to support production initiatives + Transform requirements into development ready user stories + Provide business process analysis and identify dependencies between technologies to help drive technical requirements + Collaborate with business users to improve IT Application alignment with production needs. + Manage small MES / .NET projects which may include coordination with nearshore / offshore resources + Perform black-box, white-box, and integrated testing of software solutions + Analyze Incidents and provide workarounds to maintain operational uptime + Identify root causes to repetitive issues and implement solutions for complete resolution + Attend department-specific and other IT-sponsored meetings, workshops, and training + Provide on-going production support for PACCAR Engine systems and applications + Support weekend "On Call" support, as needed, with infrastructure team members + Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills Primary Compete Required: + Bachelor's or master's degree in Software Engineering or similar field + Minimum of 6 months experience with Apriso MES, C#, .NET + Proficient in one or more object-oriented languages (e.g., C#, Java) + Experience with OutSystems, Confluent, and Kafka + Knowledge of the Apriso MES suite including navigating Process Builder + Capable of moderating and presenting IT incidents and topics in a team environment + Proficient with Agile SCRUM methodologies (Sprints, user stories, etc.) + Self-motivated and able to work effectively with little to no supervision + Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Excellent interpersonal and professional behavioral skills + Experience with Microsoft Office suite + Embody and promote PACCAR ITD values of Teamwork, Continuous Improvement, Commitment, Openness, and Learning Desired: + Experience with managing incident and service requests in a ticket management application + Experience with project management principles + Experience with business analyst competencies (requirements gathering, process diagraming) + Experience with MS Visio or similar process flow modeling tool PACCAR offers comprehensive benefits from time of hire through retirement for vested employees and their families.
